Ubisoft Confirms Assassin’s Creed Shadows Leak – Fans Warned About Spoilers!

Ubisoft has just confirmed one of the worst fears about Assassin’s Creed Shadows: the game has leaked, and spoilers are spreading across the internet. Developers warn: “Any image shared online does not represent the final quality of the game.”

Ubisoft plans to release Assassin’s Creed Shadows on March 20, but by late February, some players already have access to Naoe and Yasuke’s adventure in Japan. This leak has rapidly spread across the internet through images, gameplay footage, and spoilers. After several hours of silence, the Assassin’s Creed team has confirmed the breach and is urging fans to proceed with caution.

The development team shared a message via the official Assassin’s Creed Discord server, warning the fanbase about the situation: “We are aware that players have accessed Assassin’s Creed Shadows before its official release. The development team is still working on patches to prepare the experience for launch, and any images shared online do not reflect the final quality of the game.”

Over the past few hours, numerous players and content creators have posted images and videos, further exposing Ubisoft’s security breach. “Leaks are unfortunate and can dampen the excitement for players. We kindly ask you not to spoil the experience for others. Thank you to our community for taking steps to protect everyone from spoilers. Stay in the shadows, avoid spoilers, and stay tuned to our channels for more official surprises in the coming weeks!”

Assassin’s Creed Shadows Pre-Orders Match Odyssey’s Numbers

Despite this setback, Ubisoft continues to build anticipation for the official launch of Assassin’s Creed Shadows on March 20. In fact, the French company has shared data showing that pre-orders for the game are on par with Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. However, the developers have also confirmed that the game will not be compatible with Steam Deck. According to the team, Valve’s handheld “falls below our minimum system requirements for PC.”
