MOVIE NEWS – Just days after the tragic passing of Michelle Trachtenberg, Hollywood has been hit with yet another devastating loss. Legendary actor Gene Hackman and his wife, Betsy Arakawa, were found dead in their Santa Fe home, alongside their dog.
According to a report from the Santa Fe New Mexican, Santa Fe County Sheriff Adan Mendoza confirmed the discovery early Thursday morning, shortly after midnight. The cause of death has not yet been disclosed.
In a statement from the Sheriff’s Office, officials said: “We do not believe foul play was involved; however, the exact cause of death has yet to be determined.”
Hackman, 95, was one of Hollywood’s most celebrated actors, leaving behind an illustrious career filled with unforgettable performances. He famously portrayed Lex Luthor in Christopher Reeve’s Superman films, won an Academy Award for his lead role in The French Connection, and secured a second Oscar for his supporting role in Clint Eastwood’s Unforgiven. Over the years, Hackman had been the subject of multiple death hoaxes, with false reports of his passing circulating online. Unfortunately, this time, the news is heartbreakingly real.
