World of Warships and World of Warships: Legends Will Feature New Ships and Submarines in March Updates [VIDEO]

Wargaming, the publisher and developer of the world’s leading cross-platform online naval game, World of Warships, is kicking off March with two new updates. World of Warships players on PC can look forward to new experimental ships, the return of the Operations with Flagships battle type, and the entry of Soviet submarines into early access. For console and mobile players, World of Warships: Legends offers early access to new Dutch cruisers, the sixth wave of Azur Lane, and a continuation of last year’s Rust’n’Rumble event.

Starting March 5, players looking for new ships can play with three new experimental ships, including the French Tier VIII heavy cruiser Metz, the Soviet Tier IX cruiser Vyazma, and the American Tier X battleship Oregon. In this mode, each ship begins battles with a fraction of its health, which slowly replenishes during combat. Those brave enough to command these ships can complete a special series of missions and receive coal for their efforts on the battlefield.

This update also brings back Operations with Flagships. To keep the gameplay fresh, players can expect changes as they lead their flagships to destruction at sea. With increased health and improved ship capabilities, each battle will become more varied, as randomly selected flagships with abilities and vulnerabilities will seek out players to destroy. This time, players can increase their chances of survival by upgrading their ship’s combat capabilities with secret documents.

Finally, we haven’t forgotten about underwater ships, with new Soviet submarines joining the early access: the Tier VI S-1, Tier VIII L-20, and Tier X K-1 are ready to throw themselves into battle. Each is equipped with powerful, fast torpedoes; long-range submarine detection; and a fast damage control team. They may not be as fast as other nations’ submarines, but they pack a punch on the surface.

New Dutch cruisers and events coming to World of Warships: Legends

World of Warships: Legends console and mobile players should get ready for a flood of content, with new ships, cross-platform content, and crazy game modes. The March update kicks off with the release of new Dutch cruisers in Early Access; the ships will cover Tiers I-VIII and Legendary, along with a new Commander – Henk Pröpper. Players can acquire these ships from special Dutch cruiser crates, the store, and the upgrade branch, as well as with Guilders, a limited-time in-game currency. The Dutch Legacy Calendar event also offers new daily and weekly rewards, with the ultimate prize being Dutch Commander Johan Furstner, perfect for new cruisers.

Azur Lane returns with Wave 6, bringing the popular naval warfare game back to World of Warships: Legends. From March 3rd to April 7th, players can expand their armada with five new ships, including the AL Richelieu and AL Asashio, as well as commanders based on the successful mobile game. New flags, containers, and a series of missions have also been added to the game, along with camouflage rewards and a special chest.

To close out the March update, World of Warships: Legends is launching the Rust’n’Rumble II event. This event offers players a brand new combat experience, complete with unique weapons and mechanics. In addition to the gameplay, a variety of new content is also coming.
