Assassin’s Creed Shadows: Ubisoft’s Next Big Hit Will Be Playable Almost Everywhere!

One of the most highly anticipated video game releases of the year, Assassin’s Creed Shadows, is set to launch soon. Ubisoft’s latest open-world title takes players to feudal Japan, promising a deep narrative, engaging characters, and gameplay innovations designed to elevate the series. With expectations sky-high, fans will have to wait until March 20 for its release. However, new details have surfaced, revealing a feature that many players will appreciate.

It has now been confirmed that Assassin’s Creed Shadows will support Xbox Cloud Gaming, Microsoft’s cloud-based service, meaning players can stream the game using the “stream your own game” function. This report comes from BlueSky. However, this does not mean the game is coming to Game Pass; players will need to purchase the game and be subscribed to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate to use Xbox’s cloud servers.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows Goes Cloud-Compatible

With this functionality, Assassin’s Creed Shadows will be playable on a variety of Xbox Cloud Gaming-supported devices, including Amazon Fire Stick-equipped TVs, web browsers through Xbox’s official site, and select modern Samsung TVs. Unfortunately, it won’t be part of the Xbox Play Anywhere program, but Cloud Gaming ensures players can access the game without installing it on every device.

According to Windows Central, Microsoft is planning major Cloud Gaming expansions in 2025, enabling support for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and the Xbox PC app. Additionally, despite Ubisoft’s previous statement suggesting otherwise, the game will be compatible with the Steam Deck. Assassin’s Creed Shadows is set to launch on March 20 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Mac, Amazon Luna, and PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and Ubisoft Connect.
