Split Fiction: Players Have Already Finished the Secret Challenge! [VIDEO]

Josef Fares, the head of Hazelight, the game’s developer, will keep his word, and the two lucky players will receive a big reward.

Split Fiction features a challenge the developers say is so difficult they can barely complete. First, you have to enter a hidden code into the elevator’s floor plate trigger to get where you need to go. That would be the easy part of the challenge, and that’s where the twist comes in. What follows is a level full of lasers moving and spinning in all directions, requiring precision and timing from both players. When this is completed, you get an in-game video of Fares speaking. He congratulates the players, and this is what he says:

“Wow! Amazing! You have to understand, this challenge, there are hardly any people on our team who can do it. It took us a long time to finish it, and I’m telling you, this is a crazy, crazy accomplishment that you’ve done. For those of you who are actually in the game and watching this video, I’m super amazed. I’ll tell you one thing, if you see me in real life somewhere and you can prove to me that you actually did this challenge, I can promise you, the first one that does, I will fly you to Sweden and show you early footage of our next game. I promise you that – and then I will show you some other surprises as well. I guarantee you that. Just grab me wherever, wherever and just prove it to me and I promise you I will take you to Sweden and you will have the adventure of your life,” Fares said.

VERY impressive! I will keep my promise and invite you both to Sweden for an early look of our next game😎<br><br>We´ll be in touch!</p>&mdash; Josef Fares (@josef_fares) <a href=”https://twitter.com/josef_fares/status/1902355744751514068?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw”>March 19, 2025</a></blockquote> <script async src=”https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js” charset=”utf-8″></script>

Fares also responded on Twitter. He congratulated sharkOvO and E1uM4y for being the first two to get a Fares video in Split Fiction. He was very impressed that they completed the challenge in such a short time, and is keeping his promise to fly them to Sweden to show them an early version of their next game.

It’s safe to say that Fares is an honest and courageous developer, and the world needs more of him…
