TECH NEWS – There are now rumors about the next Blackwell architecture card that will not be to the liking of customers…
Nvidia has reportedly delayed the release of the RTX 5060 graphics cards, so there could be a month gap between the launch of the RTX 5060 Ti and the base model. But the Ti card has also been postponed, because so far there was talk of a March release, but that’s about to end in a week, so it’s best to give up on those expectations.
One of Hong Kong’s publications, HKEPC, reported that Nvidia has decided to launch both the 16GB and 8GB GeForce RTX 5060 Ti in mid-April. The exact date will be April 15, and the GPUs will be available in stores the following day. But here’s the interesting thing: Nvidia is not waiting for press reviews, you can buy the graphics cards and read and watch reviews about them from the same day. This usually means that the company is not sure about its product, and more than once in the case of games, the press didn’t get a test copy and it turned out to be a bad product…
The lifting of the embargo will take place at 9pm Hong Kong time, 10am Eastern. If Nvidia is indeed not giving the press a head start, it may be a misguided move, as the public usually waits to see what the press has to say. In addition, the RTX 5000 cards are considered to be in short supply on the market, and if the embargo is lifted, this card could also be out of stock at retailers in a matter of hours or even minutes.
However, it is not certain if the RTX 5060 will follow the same methodology. This card will also be unveiled by Nvidia at the same time as the Ti models, but its release may not be until May (15 or 16). And we also hear that Nvidia is forcing its card partners to release at least one model that they have to sell at a recommended retail price, so in principle each manufacturer will have a base model, but that doesn’t mean there won’t be tuned (OC) models that they can charge more for.
This is all unofficial!
