PlayStation Plus: Potentially Divisive Range of Games for May

By then, Sony may have removed some games from its subscription service that could cause a negative backlash.

It looks like PlayStation Plus could lose some major games in May, if the latest information is to be believed. One of the best things about subscribing to the PlayStation Plus Extra and PlayStation Plus Premium tiers is that you can choose from a much wider range of games, including first-party games, AAA games, indie favorites and even older classics (although the latter category is only available on PlayStation Plus Premium).

If you subscribe to PlayStation Plus Premium, you’ll also get access to try-before-you-buy games, movies and streaming. However, like Xbox Game Pass, both PlayStation Plus Extra and PlayStation Plus Premium will gradually lose games that are replaced by something new or newer. It should be added that Sony never publishes a list of departing games on the PlayStation Blog, while Microsoft does in its two monthly Xbox Game Pass posts.

Here Are the Games That are LIKELY TO LEAVE in May 2025

One Reddit user, kayrakaanonline, often accurately predicts when and which games will be leaving PlayStation Plus Extra and PlayStation Plus Premium in the coming month. This time he’s done it again, predicting which titles Sony will be pulling from the service in May: Some of these PlayStation Plus titles include Crime Boss: Rockay City, Cat Quest I and II, Humanity, Tomb Raider I-III Remastered, Grand Theft Auto V (again).

Rockstar Games games tend to stay on PlayStation Plus for up to six months, so it’s not uncommon for Grand Theft Auto V to leave the service again. This is likely to be the case this time around, even though Grand Theft Auto VI is in the works. In any case, opinions on Reddit are divided on the games that are tipped to leave.

Hopefully they won’t disappoint, but it’s always best to prepare for the worst.
