Although Electronic Arts has not yet announced the new Titanfall episode, rumors suggest that development is almost complete…
Titanfall 3, Respawn’s unannounced new installment, will use Unreal Engine 5 (not Frostbite, which is Electronic Arts’ own engine), which is used by many companies in the gaming industry. It is rumored that the game will have a lot of gameplay modes in addition to the extraction mode. Extraction is said to be the main attraction of the game. This was reported on Twitter by a leaker, Osvaldatore, who is mainly familiar with Apex Legends.
Since it’s also a Respawn Entertainment game, it’s no surprise that he knows about another IP, since Titanfall is also tied to them. So the studio led by Vince Zampella could be using the Epic Games engine, just like CD Projekt RED (The Witcher IV and the sequel to Cyberpunk 2077 will use it). The game will not only feature the Extraction mode, but also a single player campaign and other game modes (Team Deathmatch, Control, Arenas, and all the classic modes from Titanfall 2).
More Titanfall 3 info:
• Unreal Engine 5
• Almost complete
• Singleplayer campaign
• Live service (with Battle Passes)
• Main mode: Extraction
• Other modes: TDM, Control, Arenas, “all Titanfall 2 classic modes”
• Some returning Apex characters
• Weather system pic.twitter.com/NeLdklnxjW— Osvaldatore (@Osvaldatore) April 9, 2025
The game will also see the return of the Apex Legends characters. Live service will also be included in the multiplayer mode, which will feature a weather system and Battle Passes. But when will Titanfall 3 be released? The leaker didn’t talk about that, but he did say that development is almost complete, so it wouldn’t be a big surprise to expect it in the near future.
We’ve heard a lot of rumors about Titanfall 3, but since it hasn’t come to fruition, it’s no wonder that fans are wary of anything that comes out about Respawn’s IP. According to another Apex Legends leaker, Yorotsuki, it will be revealed during The Game Awards later this December, so a release could be mid to late 2026.
None of this is official yet!
