Byte Barrel and Fulqrum Publishing are bringing the first-person shooter from PC to consoles, but we’ll have to wait a little longer for the ports.
Embark on a path to salvation as you continue the story of the Priest character from the first installment. How long can you walk on the edge of sanity? Will your sins be forgiven, or will madness consume your soul? The dark hand-drawn art style, where every frame looks like a page from a comic book, is one of the pillars of Forgive Me Father, and the sequel brings a fresh perspective to its unique style with improved sprites, models and atmospheric lighting effects. Prepare to feast your eyes on juicy blood effects and animated gibbons flying everywhere!
Defeat Lovecraftian nightmares with a wide range of weapons. Battle hordes of diverse, formidable enemies and beware: each and every one of them will evolve into different, increasingly evil and twisted forms of themselves – this journey never gets any easier! Define your own play style and assemble the deadliest arsenal with a variety of weapons to choose from, each with even more powerful variations designed to wreak havoc and utter destruction on your enemies. Choose from devastating shotguns, deadly accurate rifles and explosive launchers and unleash their full potential.
Overwhelming insanity is your best friend and worst enemy. Let it flow through you, unleash absolute mayhem on your enemies, and gain extraordinary powers as a reward. Embrace madness, use it to fuel your bizarre new abilities, and teach the horrors that assault your senses to fear you. Experience the surprisingly fitting combination of powerful electric guitar riffs and energetic drums that underscore the dark, Lovecraftian atmosphere. Slay hordes of deranged cultists and face unimaginable ancient evil while listening to an original soundtrack that will keep you headbanging for hours.
Forgive Me Father 2 was released in Early Access on PC (Steam, GOG, Epic Gsmes Store) on October 19, 2023 and then exited on October 24 last year. It will arrive on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and Nintendo Switch sometime this fall.
