The latest PS5 exclusive is finally coming to PC, and in less than 24 hours, you can try out the free demo of Stellar Blade. Shift Up’s sci-fi action game has already been a hit on PS5, and now the Korean studio is ramping up the excitement once again.
Stellar Blade continues to generate buzz, and the developers are now poised to take a major step beyond PlayStation. While Shift Up has previously declared a bright future for itself, bolstered by strong commercial alliances, the PC release of Stellar Blade—set for June 12 in Spain (and the night of June 11 in Asia)—marks the studio’s best chance to outshine the PS5 version in terms of sales. Whether you’re intrigued or not, the South Koreans have prepared a special treat: a demo you can try in under 24 hours.
The Stellar Blade Demo Arrives on May 31
South Korean studio Shift Up has announced that the PC demo for Stellar Blade will be available for free on Steam starting May 31, local time in South Korea; that’s tomorrow at 8:00 AM. This demo will let players experience the first hour of gameplay, including story cinematics, combat mechanics, progression systems, and other key elements that define the game.
According to South Korean outlet YNA, Sony, the game’s publisher, has confirmed that it will also be sharing exclusive demo content on its official PlayStation channels. Furthermore, Stellar Blade is expected to steal some of the spotlight at Steam Next Fest, Valve’s gaming showcase kicking off on June 9, just days before the official release.
The PC edition will come in two versions: Standard Edition and Complete Edition. The latter includes the base game, special content, and a crossover DLC with NieR: Automata and Goddess of Victory: Nikke, along with an exclusive code for unlocking costumes. This DLC will actually merge two of Shift Up’s IPs, giving Stellar Blade a brand-new shooter gameplay mode as well.
