MOVIE NEWS – One of today’s most successful directors, Christopher Nolan, is back with a massive new project: The Odyssey, a spectacular adaptation of Homer’s epic with such a star-studded cast—from Robert Pattinson to Zendaya—that even the smallest roles are filled by Hollywood’s elite.
Nolan already ranks among the top directors, currently eighth with a lifetime box office gross of $6.028 billion. According to ScreenRant, if The Odyssey hits $735 million at the box office, Nolan will leap to third place, just behind Steven Spielberg and James Cameron.
But is there a real chance for this modern take on Homer’s classic to achieve astronomical box office numbers? Absolutely. The film promises a fusion of historical realism and Greek myth, with half of Hollywood appearing on screen—and Nolan is shooting the entire movie in IMAX. His last masterpiece, Oppenheimer, was also a biographical/historical film and made box office history with $953.8 million. The new epic could very well do the same.
