Cronos: The New Dawn – There Will Be a Physical Release!

Bloober Team’s third-person survival horror title is getting a boxed version, but only for one platform—a decision that reflects the broader trend of shrinking physical support on other consoles.

There will be no physical edition of Cronos: The New Dawn for PC, which is unfortunately the norm these days. It’s no surprise, really. Likewise, Xbox Series won’t receive a disc release either—something we’ve already heard publishers are leaning away from. That leaves PlayStation 5, which will be getting a Blu-ray version thanks to Skybound Games.

“Skybound is an exceptional partner in global game distribution (they were also responsible for the physical release of The Callisto Protocol). We are happy to continue this partnership with Cronos: The New Dawn. This is our strongest original title, and we know it marks another significant milestone in Bloober Team Group’s development. Boxed distribution is an essential part of our strategy and marketing mix,” said Piotr Babieno, CEO of Bloober Team, in the press release.

Cronos: The New Dawn delivers a chilling journey through time and terror, set across two distinct eras: a post-apocalyptic future and 1980s Poland. The game draws inspiration from the real-life district of Nowa Huta. Players take on the role of a Traveler, an agent of the mysterious Collective, who emerges from a dystopian future to travel back in time and rescue key individuals before they are lost to the apocalypse. Along the way, players will confront grotesque foes known as the Orphans, monstrous beings born of humanity’s darkest nightmares.

Cronos: The New Dawn is scheduled for release this autumn, though the Polish developers have yet to confirm the exact date or whether the PS5 physical edition will launch simultaneously with the digital multiplatform release. As previously noted, the game will launch for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC.

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
