Limited-edition consoles, DualSense controllers, and covers will be available for the next game from Sucker Punch Productions.
The PlayStation 5 Ghost of Yotei Gold Limited Edition Bundle will be sold worldwide, with a design inspired by kintsugi, the Japanese art of repairing broken ceramics with lacquer and gold. The bundle’s look captures the essence and beauty of imperfection, reflecting Atsu’s personal journey of resilience and healing throughout adversity.
The PlayStation 5 Ghost of Yotei Black Limited Edition Bundle will be exclusive to direct.playstation.com. Its design draws on sumi-e, traditional Japanese ink painting—bold black brushstrokes evoke the landmarks of Ezo, highlighting the region’s beauty and mystery while echoing Atsu’s inner struggle and path to redemption.
Both bundles come with a matching DualSense controller that features a striking silhouette of Atsu on the touchpad. You also get a limited-edition PlayStation 5 console with disc drive, a matching DualSense controller, and a digital copy of Ghost of Yotei Standard Edition with pre-order content: a unique in-game mask and a set of seven PSN avatars featuring concept art for Atsu and every member of the Yotei Six.
“We drew inspiration for this design from one of the game’s core aspects: a deep focus on exploration. It includes hand-drawn icons that Atsu marks on her map, a kintsugi-style effect from her Ghost mask, and brushstrokes that recall her sumi-e paintings. Towering Mount Yotei is at the center of the console design, pulling it all together. Atsu is spotlighted on the DualSense controller. Each of these elements was thoughtfully woven into the designs of both the console and the controller,” said Jason Connell, creative director of Ghost of Yotei.
Covers for PlayStation 5 (Slim) and PlayStation 5 Pro will be available via PlayStation Direct, with limited quantities at select online retailers in other regions. Both covers feature the same kintsugi-inspired pattern and manufacturer’s stamp as the Gold Limited Edition bundle. The DualSense Ghost of Yotei Limited Edition will also be available to purchase separately in both designs.
Ghost of Yotei launches October 2 for PlayStation 5.
