Predator: Badlands – Alien Crossover and Elle Fanning Promise the Craziest Sci-Fi Pairing of the Year!

MOVIE NEWS – Speculation is over: ‘Predator: Badlands’ has officially confirmed the most anticipated crossover in sci-fi, bringing the Predator and Alien universes together for the first time ever. Elle Fanning joins the mayhem as a half-android in a film brimming with action, violence, and irreverent humor, directed by Dan Trachtenberg. The movie hits theaters on November 7, 2025, and looks set to redefine the sci-fi buddy movie formula.

The guessing game is done: after the explosive first trailer for ‘Predator: Badlands,’ fans immediately picked up on the signs of an epic crossover—one that now stands confirmed with the latest teaser. Following the acclaimed animated Predator of Killers, the new film will finally intertwine the Predator and Alien franchises on screen.

A Yautja and a half-android walk into a bar… That’s the premise, and it’s as wild as it sounds. The new teaser from 20th Century Studios brings everything you’d expect from a Predator film: relentless action, interplanetary violence, and a classic buddy-movie twist. Dimitrius Schuster-Koloamtang portrays the titular Predator, while Elle Fanning steps in as Thia, a half-android from the infamous Weyland-Yutani Corporation—the same company that’s haunted the Xenomorph universe since Ridley Scott’s Alien. The film’s synopsis: “Predator: Badlands is set in the future on a remote planet, where a young Predator, outcast from his clan, finds an unlikely ally in Thia and embarks on a treacherous adventure in search of the ultimate adversary.”

The creative team sees Dan Trachtenberg returning as director (after his acclaimed Prey was unfairly relegated to streaming) and co-writing the script with Patrick Aison, his collaborator on the last live-action Predator. Trachtenberg’s arrival has brought much-needed energy to the series, but will ‘Badlands’ live up to the hype? We’ll find out on November 7, 2025. Until then, stay tuned!
