Assassin’s Creed Shadows: Ubisoft’s New Hopeful’s Near Future Content Expansion [VIDEO]

The French publisher has revealed the changes it will make to the latest installment of Assassin’s Creed by mid-September.

On July 29, Ubisoft will release an update for Assassin’s Creed Shadows. This update will introduce a new game mode, raise the level cap from 60 to 80, add new Animus-related collectibles, and introduce Project 3. A New Game+ mode will also be available, but only after you complete the final story mission and watch the credits. If you choose New Game+, you will retain all your equipment, hideouts, skill points, and character level, but the locations, objectives, and story progression will reset to zero.

In August, Ubisoft will release another update that includes quality-of-life improvements requested by players. These include removing fog from the entire map by synchronizing all viewpoints in the game and removing the frame rate limit on scenes for PC players, so the game will not switch between limited and unlimited FPS between scenes and gameplay. Ubisoft is also giving players the opportunity to share their concerns and feedback directly with the development team in a Reddit AMA (Ask Me Anything) session on August 12.

The Claws of Awaji DLC will be released on September 16. At that time, there will also be quality-of-life updates, such as the ability to quickly change between day and night, as well as several new rare items that will come with the DLC. Content updates for Assassin’s Creed Shadows are scheduled for the next two months. These updates are much needed, as the French publisher recently criticized Star Wars Outlaws’ performance again. We also reported on a serious rumor about the game today.

After several delays, Assassin’s Creed Shadows was released on March 20 of this year for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PC, and Mac. Perhaps it will be a success for the publisher; the game, which is set in feudal Japan, has already attracted more than 5 million players.
