MOVIE NEWS – Fresh off his high-octane F1 escapade, Brad Pitt is tearing up the set once again in The Continuing Adventures of Cliff Booth, Netflix’s highly anticipated follow-up to Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood. The new script comes from Tarantino himself, but David Fincher has stepped in to direct a cast that’s just as star-studded as ever. This time, the film picks up with Cliff Booth as he navigates Hollywood’s underbelly as a fixer.
Netflix’s The Continuing Adventures of Cliff Booth is currently filming, and eagle-eyed fans have already spotted Brad Pitt in character on set. Time has clearly left its mark on Cliff since Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood: he’s now sporting a mustache and wild hair. Interestingly, Netflix has not yet formally announced the production or confirmed the film’s official title, but filming is underway and the project is the real deal. First-look images from the set have already surfaced online.
Alongside Pitt, the film’s cast features Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Elizabeth Debicki, Scott Caan, Carla Gugino, JB Tadena, and Corey Fogelmanis. Details on the plot are still under wraps, but it’s clear that Cliff Booth has taken on a new role in Hollywood and is no longer in the shadow of his best friend and movie star, Rick Dalton (Leonardo DiCaprio). It’s not known if DiCaprio will reprise his role, though it would be a surprise if he didn’t at least make a cameo. The movie is reportedly set in 1977, eight years after the original story.

Why Didn’t Quentin Tarantino Return to Direct Cliff Booth?
Quentin Tarantino, currently prepping what he insists will be his final movie (likely to be distributed by Sony), decided not to return for The Continuing Adventures of Cliff Booth. Tarantino has long vowed to retire after his next project, and Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood didn’t feel like the right sendoff. That said, his affection for this world and these characters is obvious—he even wrote a novel based on the original film. He also penned the Cliff Booth script, which Pitt loved, but when it became clear this wouldn’t be Tarantino’s swan song, Pitt turned to a “mutual friend.”
David Fincher, who has made Netflix his home in recent years, joined the project after getting Tarantino’s blessing. Fincher has wanted to reunite with Pitt for years (the two nearly collaborated on a World War Z sequel), and this is finally happening. Netflix is reportedly paying Tarantino handsomely for the script rights, but with Pitt and Fincher at the helm, it looks like a sound investment. The Continuing Adventures of Cliff Booth doesn’t have a release date or an official title just yet.
