According to one streamer, Electronic Arts and DICE’s game can achieve good frame rates on powerful hardware. However, there is a significant performance difference when switching processor vendors.
AAA titles tend to become more system-intensive with each new release, and this is expected of Battlefield 6. However, it sounds like you can enjoy its potential if you have a monitor capable of 300+ Hz. Although screenshots or recordings would serve as better proof, Bruhskey, a Twitch streamer, claims he achieved over 300 FPS in the game with an AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080. Both components provide an optimal gaming experience, and seeing 300+ FPS in a modern AAA title indicates that the game is well optimized. Battlefield 6 requires an RTX 3060 Ti as the recommended GPU.
Battlefield games tend to run at high FPS on decent configurations, but CPU selection is one of the most influential factors here. Bruhskey says that using one of the Ryzen 9800X3D CPUs (or other powerful modern X3D CPUs) will result in much higher performance than playing on Intel. According to Bruhskey, his friend uses a Core i9 14900K, currently the best Intel CPU for gaming. However, even with the same GPU and graphics presets, his friend got about 110 FPS less than Bruhskey did with the Ryzen 7 9800X3D, which is roughly 30-33% less performance.

Friend of mine with same gpu but 14900k got 110 less fps than me while matching settings. Seems like x3d will matter A LOT.
Did not have replay buffer or use ndi for game pc transmission. Only ea app and the game were open.

Due to the embargo, there is no concrete evidence of this. Bruhskey claims that the game ran at a native resolution of 1440p. He didn’t mention whether frame-generation technology was enabled, but it seems he didn’t use any upscaling. Therefore, 300+ FPS at 1440p seems too good to be true, especially since the system latency was only 6.7–8.5 nanoseconds.
If the reports about the performance difference between the Ryzen 9800X3D and the i9-14900K are accurate, it won’t be surprising to see other X3D CPUs achieve similar performance levels. Many games traditionally favor X3D CPUs due to their larger L3 cache, which is useful for intensive processes. This could be another example of AMD’s 3D V-Cache technology shining.
