In addition to Into the Unjust, the Dust Devils Premium Warbond will be released a few days after the major content update.
It’s time to uncover the mysteries of the Gloom shrouding the Hive Worlds. Prepare your squad to venture into the fog and face terrifying new threats, from towering Terminid structures to horrors lurking beneath the planets’ surfaces. Deep underground lies a labyrinth of tunnels infested by the Hive Lung, thickening the fog that makes up the Gloom. Because of the cave systems, your Super Destroyer can’t provide full support. You’ll be alone against the horrors below.
Reports indicate new subterranean Terminid warriors: Bile Spewers and Chargers. These enemies burrow underground when alerted and erupt to attack prey. The Gloom has further mutated Terminids into grotesque monsters like the airborne Dragonroach, which dives at Helldivers and douses them with burning bile. Even greater horrors await, and they must be eliminated.
Helldivers will face new missions, such as escorting a mobile oil rig across dangerous terrain while defending it from Terminid assaults. Underground, squads must locate and destroy the Hive Lung to halt the spread of the Gloom. New optional and sub-objectives add variety. It will take grit and teamwork to contain the infestation and liberate Hive Worlds. The update arrives September 2.
The Dust Devils Warbond has been fast-tracked by the Ministry of Defense. It includes one primary weapon, a new throwable, and three powerful stratagems. The AR-2 Coyote uses incendiary rounds, the G-7 Pineapple cluster grenade rips apart bugs, and the S-11 Speargun fires heavy projectiles that release gas clouds. The EAT-700 Expendable Napalm rains napalm cluster bombs, while the MS-11 Solo Silo calls down a Hellpod-sized silo with a devastating missile.
Players can also unlock new armor with the Desert Stormer passive (resisting fire, gas, acid, arc damage, and boosting throw range), as well as capes, player cards, emotes, titles, and vehicle/Hellpod skins. The DS-42 Federation’s Blade and DS-191 Scorpion sets channel desert warfare aesthetics. New content includes the Burier of Heads title, Raider’s Cheer emote, and Rattlesnake skin. The Dust Devils Premium Warbond launches September 4.
Into the Unjust arrives Tuesday, followed Thursday by the Dust Devils Premium Warbond on PlayStation 5, PC, and now Xbox Series.
