Batman: Arkham Shadow: Meta’s Game Will Get a Sequel, According to a Voice Actor!

It’s increasingly common for video game voice actors to spill details about unannounced projects.

Actor Mark Rolston — known from films like The Shawshank Redemption, Aliens, and The Departed, and games such as Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 (voice of Norman Osborn) and VR’s Batman: Arkham Shadow (Commissioner Gordon) — revealed at Fan Expo Chicago 2025, in an interview with Culture Combine, that Meta and Camouflaj are already working on a sequel to Arkham Shadow. He added they would “start another one soon,” with him returning as Commissioner Gordon.

Batman: Arkham Shadow launched at the end of 2024 as a Meta Quest 3 exclusive and was hailed as one of the year’s best thanks to a melee system that truly delivered the “Batman feeling.” At The Game Awards 2024, it won Best VR/AR Game, beating contenders including Metro Awakening and Asgard’s Wrath 2.

Since Camouflaj is owned by Meta, it’s unlikely Arkham Shadow will come to other headsets, including PC VR. With a sequel now underway, Meta might consider porting the original to drum up interest among VR fans who’d buy a Quest just to play the new entry — assuming they don’t own one already.

It’s been a big year for early voice-actor leaks: the voices of Superman and Green Lantern hinted at Injustice 3, while Edward Kenway’s actor suggested Ubisoft is readying an Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag remake — both widely reported.

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
