Google Pixel 10 Pro XL: Another Test Reveals a Crushing Defeat! [VIDEO]

TECH NEWS – In a direct speed comparison, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra outperformed Google’s latest flagship by a wide margin.

The Tensor G5 was supposed to end the cycle of criticism directed at Google’s smartphones, with many blaming Samsung’s production lines for the Pixel family’s weak performance and overheating issues. But history repeated itself: in the latest benchmark, the Pixel 10 Pro XL—marketed as a rival to the newly announced iPhone 17 Pro Max—fell behind the Galaxy S25 Ultra, despite featuring UFS 4.0 storage and 16 GB of RAM.

This represents 33% more RAM than the Galaxy S25 Ultra, giving Google’s device an edge in handling background apps. Unfortunately, Samsung’s premium model dominated the test from start to finish. The only highlight for the Pixel came when it briefly outpaced its competitor while loading ESPN.

The results make one thing clear: the Snapdragon 8 Elite is significantly more capable than the Tensor G5. For Google, this raises the question of whether to continue with the Tensor G6 next year—risking further underperformance—or to switch to the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 to stand a chance in the high-end smartphone market.

By the end of the first round, the Galaxy S25 Ultra was ahead by 33 seconds (2:25.18 vs. 2:58.25). While the Pixel 10 Pro XL’s 16 GB RAM helped it keep pace in the second round (55 seconds vs. 53), the initial gap proved too large to overcome. With the iPhone 17 Pro Max set to launch soon, Apple’s flagship could shake up the competition even further.
