A Chinese Gamer Builds a Real Cockpit with Flames and Rockets to Play War Thunder [VIDEO]

TECH NEWS – War Thunder attracts 50,000 daily players, but only one fan goes as far as using a real cockpit. A Chinese enthusiast built a homemade simulator that shoots out flames when throttled to the max. This creation is not only spectacular but also packed with insane features that most gamers would never dare to build, pushing homemade gaming rigs to an entirely new level.

How far would you go to elevate your gaming experience? Some players don’t hesitate to push boundaries, leading to crazy builds like a life-size Star Citizen ship to explore the galaxy. Others, like one creator who built a working tank to play World of Tanks, have taken gaming into reality. But none went as far as the Chinese gamer who put together his own flight simulator to take his War Thunder battles sky-high.

As TechSpot highlights, the user known as blyat has gained a reputation for wild creations, and this project is no exception. First shared on the Chinese platform Bilibili, the simulator stuns not only with its concept but also with its execution: afterburners blast real flames when throttled to full power. And if that already sounds crazy, it’s just the beginning.

The Ultimate Gaming Experience

The contraption is mounted on a three-axis motion seat with its own power management console. To enhance immersion, the builder installed a pneumatic cannon that flashes when fired. He also included a rocket launcher that shoots fireworks when missiles are launched in the game, an idea borrowed from the tank he built for World of Tanks.

On top of that, the simulator features a countermeasure system with flares and chaff replaced by confetti blasting across the room. Many see it as a homemade engineering marvel, though it’s as impractical as it is ingenious, since few could ever afford to build something like it. The setup also demands a clear room and a fire extinguisher, as the use of real flames poses a major fire hazard.

Of course, even a rig this extreme leaves room for improvement. Using a single monitor, for instance, can cause issues when the seat rotates and blocks the view. Still, the project stands out as both spectacular and unique, taking gaming to a level never seen before. Much like the exoskeleton that made players feel pain, gamers continue to craft unforgettable experiences for their favorite titles.

The legendary Chinese "blyat" has assembled a fighter jet cockpit in his garage, complete with turbines, a launcher, and even an aircraft machine gun. Don't show this to your dad.
