Game of Thrones, Hitman, Warhammer: Vermintide, and Hitman are among the voice actors’ previous works.
When the original Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines introduces John DiMaggio’s voice in the tutorial, players know they’re in for top-tier voice talent. The cast was packed with actors familiar from games and television, including Grey DeLisle, Steve Blum, Fred Tatasciore, Mary Elizabeth McGlynn, and Dee Bradley Baker — and that was just a fraction of the list. Although Bender from Futurama doesn’t appear in Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2, some familiar voices are among the newly revealed actors. Jane Perry, who plays the sophisticated Lou Graham, voiced Diana in the Hitman games, Selene in Returnal, and perhaps Rogue in Cyberpunk 2077.
Then there’s Bethan Dixon Bate, who played Vlaakith in Baldur’s Gate 3 and Princeps Orla Gemnon in Warhammer’s animated series Kill the Lupercal. She voices Mrs. Amelia Thorn in Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2, who runs a café called Wake the Dead, where a sign warns customers not to order spicy pumpkin. If you’ve played The Chinese Room’s previous horror game Still Wakes the Deep, you’ve likely heard Alec Newman, who portrayed protagonist Cameron “Caz” McLeary. He also voiced Adam Smasher in Cyberpunk 2077 and its anime spin-off Edgerunners, and Paul Atreides in the Dune TV series. In Bloodlines 2, he plays Gideon Hall.
Richard Brake portrayed the Night King in Game of Thrones, Joe Chill in Batman Begins, and Sergeant Dean Portman in Doom, but here he plays Nosferatu Willem Axel. Another interesting feature of the trailer is the lip-syncing, which looks better than in previous Bloodlines 2 promotional materials. The characters still express their emotions more subtly than in the first game, but this seems to be an intentional choice to keep things more restrained — at least in the scenes shown here.
Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 launches on October 21 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC.
