Cyberpunk 2077 Appears in Another Game!

CD Projekt RED’s cyberpunk epic refuses to fade away — though this latest return isn’t the kind fans were hoping for, it proves the world of Night City still has neon life left in it.

Cyberpunk 2077 is officially getting new DLC this month, but not in the way fans might expect. Instead of a full expansion, it’s arriving as part of a crossover with another shooter. Despite its rocky 2020 launch — especially on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One — the CD Projekt RED RPG has since earned redemption through countless updates and the critically acclaimed Phantom Liberty expansion. Now, it’s showing up once again, though this time outside its home universe.

Before its release, multiple expansions were planned for Cyberpunk 2077, including the standalone Phantom Liberty and a scrapped multiplayer mode that CDPR canceled to focus on fixing the base game. While the decision was controversial, it ultimately restored the title’s reputation. Today, the chances of an official multiplayer mode are slim — but hopes remain high for the sequel currently in development.

This new crossover sees Cyberpunk 2077 integrated into the tactical extraction shooter Arena Breakout: Infinite, developed by Tencent Games Cube Studio and Level Infinite. Launching on October 16, the event marks the game’s tenth season and will feature exclusive Cyberpunk-themed cosmetics and limited-time events.

Arena Breakout: Infinite is a free-to-play, high-stakes extraction shooter where every choice matters. Players must fight, loot, and escape—or risk losing everything. The developers promise ultra-realistic visuals, immersive sound design, and intense PvPvE combat where every raid is a gamble between victory and disaster. The game is available on PC, Android, and iOS.

It’s not the kind of DLC fans were hoping for, but it’s proof that the world of Cyberpunk 2077 still shines bright — even when it shows up in someone else’s game.
