Baldur’s Gate Is Missing in Action – Microsoft Stays Silent While PC Players Rage

Microsoft promised the legendary Baldur’s Gate I and II Enhanced Editions would arrive on PC Game Pass on October 9, but the games are nowhere to be found. Console players can already enjoy them, while PC fans are left waiting with no explanation.

The past few weeks haven’t been kind to Game Pass. The subscription’s recent price hikes and plan changes have frustrated many users. While the lineup promises solid titles in the coming months, technical issues continue to drag down the experience. Among the October additions, two classic RPGs were supposed to stand out — yet neither can be played on PC.

Where Are Baldur’s Gate 1 and 2 on PC Game Pass?

The titles in question, Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition and Baldur’s Gate 2: Enhanced Edition, are foundational CRPGs that heavily inspired Baldur’s Gate 3. Marked for release on October 9, players soon realized the games weren’t available on the PC catalog of Game Pass.

Users on the Xbox Game Pass subreddit also confirmed the issue. “If you open the store page, it basically doesn’t exist,” one user wrote. “I can’t find it either — it doesn’t even show up in search,” another added. This is odd considering both games were made available for consoles and cloud streaming in recent months, leaving only PC players in the dark.

Microsoft has yet to issue an official statement explaining why the two titles are missing. For now, PC gamers have two choices: Game Pass Ultimate subscribers can stream the titles via cloud through their browsers or the Xbox app, while regular PC plan users must wait for clarification or a catalog update.

The community’s frustration is understandable — the Baldur’s Gate games were promised and hyped, yet after a major price increase, Microsoft has failed to deliver on schedule.
