Nioh 3: A Demo Will Be Available Before Release! [VIDEO]

Team Ninja and Koei Tecmo’s game continues the tradition of offering a preview before the full version is released.

Before traveling through time to save Japan, players can sharpen their blades in the new demo, which supports solo play and online multiplayer for up to three players. After completing the demo, fans can carry over their save data to the full game and continue their journey toward becoming Shogun. More details about the new demo will be shared by the developers at a later date. The teams also revealed new, exclusive bonuses for players who receive an early purchase bonus. Those players will get bonus armor sets inspired by protagonists from previous entries, including the Youngblood Armor (Samurai) worn by William in Nioh and the Lone Wolf’s Armor (Ninja) worn by Hiddy in Nioh 2. These items can be obtained in-game by redeeming the Hellfrost Armor Set early purchase bonus.

A special discount is also available for the Steam version of Nioh: Complete Edition, letting players pick up the first game in the highly successful series at 90% off. Nioh 3 is now available for pre-order in physical and digital formats. Players can pre-order the Digital Deluxe Edition digitally or purchase the Season Pass separately. A SteelBook edition is also up for pre-order, and it includes the base game plus two pieces of exclusive downloadable content. Every version comes with an early purchase bonus, redeemable on the PlayStation Store and Steam for a limited time after launch.

Nioh 3 is not that far away, with the latest installment set to launch on February 6 for PlayStation 5 and PC, naturally keeping the franchise’s dark-fantasy-infused samurai action-RPG combat. The demo will land close to release, as it will be available on both the PlayStation Store and Steam starting January 29.

That leaves one question: just how big is the demand for Nioh 3? After all, medieval Japanese settings will run out sooner or later.
