“No Concert Film of This Scale Has Ever Been Made”

When the director of The Terminator and Avatar makes a concert film, it can’t be an ordinary project. James Cameron co-directed Billie Eilish – Hit Me Hard and Soft: The Tour (Live in 3D) with the singer herself. “No concert film of this scale has ever been made,” the director said. “We used technology that represents a revolutionary step for the genre.”

The film combines footage shot on stage, backstage, and elsewhere to bring audiences closer to Billie Eilish’s unique universe. The singer’s 55-date tour concluded in late November, with the final concert held in San Francisco, where audiences were already shown the film’s trailer.
