PlayStation Plus Essential: One of the February Games Has Been Leaked!

Yes, we put an exclamation mark at the end of the sentence instead of a question mark, because the information comes from such a reliable source that we believe it.

The January PlayStation Plus Essential lineup was met with widespread disappointment among subscribers, especially compared to December. December’s selection included five games. Among them were LEGO Horizon Adventures, Killing Floor 3, The Outlast Trials, and Neon White. The January lineup featured Need for Speed Unbound, Epic Mickey: Rebrushed, and Core Keeper, but these games pale in comparison to the previous five titles. Unfortunately, at least for some players, the February PlayStation Plus Essential lineup does not seem like it will be much better. Yesterday, the reliable PlayStation Plus leaker billbil-kun revealed that Undisputed will be one of the PlayStation Plus Essential games in February.

Undisputed is a boxing game developed by Steel City Interactive and released in October 2024. The game features licensed boxers from three real-world organizations: the World Boxing Council, the World Boxing Organization, and the International Boxing Federation. Among the names included are Tyson Fury, Oleksandr Usyk, Terence Crawford, and Canelo Álvarez. Real coaches and managers also appear in the game. It received a fairly mixed reception from critics. Its average score on OpenCritic is 73, but only 37% of critics recommend the game according to the site. Critics generally praised Undisputed’s realism and its ambitious, RPG-style pre-fight systems, but many criticized the commentators’ performance, the technical execution, and the overall lack of polish. Many reviews pointed out that Undisputed did not reach the high standards of the Fight Night franchise.

Support for Undisputed has been surprisingly consistent. In addition to general updates and fixes, a total of seven paid DLC packs have been released, most of which added new licensed real-life boxers to the game. The latest DLC, The Senator Pack, released in October, introduced boxers such as Manny Pacquiao, Vinny Paz, and Sergey Kovalev. A free update released on the same day added new locations, new NPCs, an online character creator, and cross-play functionality to the game. While Undisputed may appeal to many players, it is debatable whether it is too niche to serve as the main attraction of PlayStation Plus Essential.

Due to the somewhat disappointing start to 2026, subscribers had hoped that PlayStation Plus would turn things around in February, especially as the service will lose another nine games next month. The nine titles leaving PS Plus Extra and Premium next month are: Carto, Cult of the Lamb, New World: Aeternum, Rez Infinite, SaGa Frontier Remastered, Spirit of the North: Enhanced Edition, Super Neptunia RPG, The Ascent, and WWE 2K25
