There will be no unexpected twists surrounding GTA 6 anymore. The level of confidence is “as high as it can be,” and we already know when the next major updates about the game will be shared. Take-Two is now gearing up for a huge marketing push for the new Grand Theft Auto.

After two postponements, it finally looks like the third attempt is sticking for Grand Theft Auto VI. Take-Two Interactive confirmed during an investor call that, in line with the current plan, the game is set to release on November 19, 2026. Alongside this commitment, the company provided extra details and addressed several questions from shareholders. We now have a fairly clear idea, for instance, of when the next trailer is expected to appear. That is notable, given that the previous one dropped nearly nine months ago.

GTA 6 Keeps Its Release Date

Strauss Zelnick, president of Take-Two, opened the call by putting any remaining doubts to rest. “With the current momentum across many of our businesses and the highly anticipated launch of Grand Theft Auto VI on November 19, we continue to forecast record net bookings for Fiscal Year 2027.” In later remarks, he confirmed that the company intends to kick off the GTA 6 marketing campaign this summer. In the games industry, that typically translates into new trailers and promotional material designed to build hype ahead of launch.

There have been past occasions when the company sounded confident about Grand Theft Auto VI’s timing, and we all remember how those turned out. This time, however, Zelnick appears especially assured. Journalists at IGN asked him directly about the situation, and the CEO insisted that things are different now: “As you move closer to the marketing window, it becomes clear that you’re at a stage where your confidence level is as high as it can be.” He wrapped up by saying, “I feel good about the release date, very good.”

The investor call also served to calm a rumor that had been circulating recently. Some users speculated that the physical version of GTA 6 might be pushed back by a few weeks to reduce the risk of leaks before launch. Zelnick confirmed that there are no such plans at the moment. As a result, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X players will be able to choose their preferred format and jump in on day one. PC players, on the other hand, will still have to wait, as there is no release date yet for that platform.
