It seems to us that there is no week without a sports person’s scandal recently, which affects games too: recently we heard about WWE giving the boot to Hulk Hogan, kicking him out of WWE 2K16 out in late October, and now EA Sports decided to change the originally planned box art of NHL 16…
Patrick Kane, one of the players in Chicago Blackhawks got removed from the box art – EA Sports announced this on Twitter: “In light of the ongoing investigation involving Patrick Kane, he will no longer be a spokesperson for the launch of EA Sports NHL 16. He will not appear on the EA Sports NHL 16 cover, nor will he participate in other EA Sports NHL 16 promotional activities.” So with that being in mind, only Jonathan Toews will stay on the box.
Accordng to Buffalo News, Kane brought a young woman to his home in Buffalo in New York state, and he probably sexually assaulted her. She went to a local hospital nearby, where she was examined for physical signs of rape.
As long as the police spotlight is on Kane, EA Sports rather decided to stay away from Kane, something similar happened to Tiger Woods too.
Something went wrong with Patrick 😀
