Guy Pearce has been considered at the forefront of the film world since the beginning of his career, but the truly prestigious awards have somehow eluded him so far. The Brutalist‘s hero is a Hungarian architect, László Tóth (Brody), who emigrates to America after the Depression to realize his dreams. . His wife Elzsébet (Felicity Jones) follows him and they start to build their new life together.The talent of the Brutalist architect is recognized by an eccentric billionaire – played by Pearce -, embraces him and entrusts him with the execution of a large-scale project. However, in the web of power and money, geniuses dance in knots, and László Tóth is forced to experience this to his own detriment.
