TECH NEWS – New rumors about Intel’s next-generation graphics cards have emerged, and we’re hearing about them before the new Nvidia and AMD cards!
Videocardz has reported that Intel’s new Battlemage desktop graphics cards based on the Xe2 architecture will be launched on the third of December. So if what the site says is true, we are just a few days away from the Intel Arc Battlemage B580 and B570 being unveiled, and this has been confirmed by third-party vendors. Intel is also rumored to be making limited edition versions, a repeat of what we saw with the first generation Arc.
The testing embargo will end in mid-December, but interestingly there is another embargo on the limited edition cards. These will be the first to be officially reported on December 12, and we’ll hear about the other manufacturers’ cards from December 13. This is Intel’s way of putting their own cards in a better position to sell. We haven’t heard much about the other variants yet, but chances are that the more powerful cards could come in 2025.
The Intel Arc Battlemage B580 has already appeared at several retailers and has also been spotted at Geekek. The video card will be in the budget category as it will cost $250-260. The Battlemage BMG-G21 GPU has 20 Xe cores and a 2850 MHz boost clock. We don’t know much about the B570 yet, but based on the numbering, it should be a slightly weaker model, and will certainly be cheaper than the B580, and will probably replace the A570.
So Intel’s new graphics cards should be announced in a few days, and interestingly they won’t start with the top-of-the-line cards, as Nvidia usually releases the most powerful models first. The GeForce RTX 5000 graphics cards will probably be announced at CES in January, so Intel will be ahead of its competitors.
But all this is not official yet!
