Until Dawn, which is going to be released tomorrow, is already preloadable for preorderers. Supermassive Games performed a nomen est omen, as their game is huge in size: it requires 46 gigabytes on the harddrive. This is interesting, because our review copy of the game needed just 38… so we can’t really confirm it. Maybe the physical version doesn’t require that much space.
What takes this much, you might ask. It’s quite simple: the higher resolution textures obviously can take several gigabytes, and also, as we progress in the console generations, the audio will be less and less compressed. Nowadays, lossless audio is used, and that obviously can take a toll on our harddrives. The cutscenes – if they are 1080p/60fps – can also take a sizable amount of free disk space.
And how is the game actually? Well, we’re not going to spoil anything for you here, because the review is way into progress now. Thankfully, we’re at the time where the bigger games start to drop in week by week, and 2016 is seemingly going to be even better! Stay tuned for our review!
