Grand Theft Auto V: Over 54 million!

Rockstar‘s game, Grand Theft Auto V has performed extremely well in sales so far – this was announced by the publisher, Take Two Interactive. Although the game was first released just shy of two years ago originally on the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360, but counting all five platforms (add PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC), it sold over 54 million copies total so far. Because of this, the Grand Theft Auto franchise is now in the third place of the biggest selling franchise toplist behind Super Mario (509 million) and Pokémon (slightly less than 300 million).

Despite that, Rockstar haven’t left GTA V behind just yet, because they are working on bringing Rockstar Editor – originally debuting on the PC – to the duo of the current generation consoles. With it, players can create even full fledged movies within the game, and some of them are extremely creative and nicely done.

And seeing that it’s impossible that Rockstar will not make DLCs for the game, the sales amount can easily climb even higher than that. Congratulations Rockstar, the game is indeed really nice, regardless of the platform!

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
