Gravity Rush is undoubtedly one of the top titles of the PlayStation Vita. However, the situation is that there were no news of a sequel outside Sony testing something in the United States. No idea on what that was meant to be, but Tokyo Game Show brought us not one, but two Tokyo Game Show announcements.
First off, Gravity Rush will receive a PlayStation 4 port. After Tearaway Unfolded, it’s not a surprising move. It’s going to be localized too, but despite the December release in Japan, the US date is February 9 and the EU date is February 10, respectively. (What’s the reasoning behind this delay?) The porting is handled by BluePoint Games, and they are known for high quality ports. There will be a Collector’s Edition too, but likely in Japan only…
There’s also going to be a sequel! Gravity Daze 2 (Japanese name for GR) was also announced for the PlayStation 4 and the PlayStation Vita (another reason to say that the Vita is still popular there: it usually finishes third behind the PS4 and the 3DS LL in console sales in Japan), and it’s going to launch in 2016… hopefully worldwide.
