MOVIE NEWS – By definition, a secret weapon isn’t obvious, which is why it’s worth highlighting in the new Jurassic World: Rebirth. The creators behind this would-be new dino era brought back David Koepp, the original Jurassic Park screenwriter, whose return after three decades signals their intention to recapture some of Spielberg’s movie magic.
At the world premiere, Koepp said, “The goal was to bring back a little bit of the 1993 film’s vibe, but also give audiences something completely new.”
Steven Spielberg, one of the executive producers, had plenty to say about how things took shape. Koepp explained, “We knew the audience had big expectations, but we set even bigger goals for ourselves, hoping to cook up something truly special.”
And those expectations are sky-high: The Hollywood Reporter predicts Jurassic World: Rebirth will open with $125 million—an incredibly strong start for any blockbuster.
