Gungrave G.O.R.E: Blood Heat: Revamping the Weapondance [VIDEO]

Studio Iggymob didn’t stop there. They thought Gungrave G.O.R.E could be improved, so the team is giving it a minor facelift.

Gunfire beyond death begins again. Gungrave G.O.R.E, which heralded the return of the legendary gunslinger, has undergone a full rebuild and will return as Gungrave G.O.R.E: Blood Heat. The Gungrave series is a hard-boiled action shooter IP that has been around since the early 2000s. Fans love it for its intense gunfights, stylish direction, and revenge-beyond-death theme.

Built with Unreal Engine 5, Gungrave G.O.R.E: Blood Heat retains the essence of the series while offering a new experience optimized for modern hardware. The overall visual quality has been upgraded, including characters, backgrounds, visual effects, and atmosphere. Alongside enhanced cinematics, it delivers an even more spectacular gunfight experience. New systems with a modern sensibility and enhanced, stylish movement provide a fresh combat experience.

Speed and impact tailored to a modern sensibility deliver weight and satisfaction. Character animations have been comprehensively improved. Switching from eight-direction controls to 360-degree controls has enabled substantial motion upgrades with more natural movement. Beyond simple gunplay, it offers a new way to interact with levels and objects. Enemy AI has been upgraded, and enemy combat variations have significantly increased. Use the new combat system to eliminate enemies with diverse combat skills. Characters not seen in the previous game appear alongside a newly designed Beyond the Grave created by Yasuhiro Nightow. Amidst powerful explosions and unceasing gunfire, the beauty of Gungrave G.O.R.E: Blood Heat shines.

However, Studio Iggymob forgot to mention one thing: the release date of Gungrave G.O.R.E: Blood Heat. If we had to guess, we’d say sometime in mid-2026. At least we know which platforms it will be released on: PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC. It’s pretty rare to see the Nintendo Switch 2 as a target platform, isn’t it?
