It’s very likely that Hideo Kojima will leave Konami, especially now that Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain has been out in stores for a month now, and he might be a free agent after 2015. But Kojima met someone, who might be ending up joining a company later on, let’s think about this…
The Japanese gentleman met Mark Cerny on the image below. He was vice president/president at Universal in the late nineties, helping Naughty Dog to launch Crash Bandicoot in a miraculous quality, but Cerny has had a helping hand in Jak & Daxter and Uncharted as well. Later on, he ended up being the lead architect for the PlayStation 4 and the PlayStation Vita, so he is a well known personality within Sony… despite not being an insider, as he designed the PS4 under a contract.
Could it be that Hideo Kojima can join Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios? Seeing how its boss is Shuhei Yoshida, a good gamer himself, it might be a perfect move for both parties… as long as Hideo‘s games are not rushed and supported financially as much as possible. If this happens, this might be an excellent move.
Of course, we are just wildly guessing…
They are funny! 😀
