According to Nexon and Embark, ARC Raiders has now passed 12.4 million units sold and came close to reaching one million concurrent players in January 2026.
A few hours ago, publisher Nexon and developer Embark Studios revealed that the third-person extraction shooter ARC Raiders has sold more than 12.4 million copies since launching on October 30, 2025. The announcement essentially confirms Alinea Analytics’ most recent projections, which already suggested last week that the game had moved beyond 12 million units. On top of that, the title recorded roughly 960,000 concurrent players this month, putting it within striking distance of the highly impressive one-million mark (presumably aggregated across platforms).
If any further proof was needed, this is yet another sign that ARC Raiders has been remarkably effective at keeping its momentum going, even in the shadow of the AI voice controversy. Naturally, the live service journey has only just begun. Still, as a thank-you to the player base, Embark is handing out a Gilded Pickaxe Raider Tool to everyone who has logged into the game at least once since launch, provided they do so by today at 23:59 Central European Time.
The press release also featured the usual celebratory quotes from both Nexon and Embark. Nexon President and CEO Junghun Lee stated:
“We are incredibly pleased with the strong retention and enduring enthusiasm players in all major markets worldwide have shown for ARC Raiders. As pleased as we were with the October launch, reaching more than 12.4 million units and setting a record with 960,000 concurrent users in January demonstrates the potential for ARC Raiders to become another pillar in Nexon’s portfolio of blockbuster franchises. Embark Studios has delivered exactly what players worldwide have expected from the game, a fresh, highly differentiated experience in a massive global game genre. ARC Raiders’ success is a clear affirmation of Nexon Group’s goal of expanding our global footprint with horizontal growth from all-new games that capture and grow massive game communities in every major market and on multiple platforms.”
Embark Studios Founder and CEO Patrick Söderlund added:
“Hitting 12.4 million units is a huge landmark – and it wouldn’t have happened without our players. The community of raiders has been part of this journey from the start, and their ideas and enthusiasm continue to guide where the game goes next.”
ARC Raiders has already taken home The Game Awards 2025 prize for Best Multiplayer Game, and it also won the Steam Awards 2025 prize for Most Innovative Gameplay. It is also in a strong position to secure Wccftech’s Best Multiplayer Game award through community voting, although voting has not closed yet.
