If your PC isn’t powerful enough, Nvidia’s subscription service can be a practical workaround that still lets you play.
After learning which games would join GeForce Now in January at the start of the year, we can now report on additional titles set to arrive as part of another GeForce Now Thursday wave. Some – such as Quarantine Zone: The Last Check, which stands out as this week’s headliner – have been on the radar already. Others, including Star Wars Outlaws and The Legend of Heroes: Trails Beyond the Horizon, are brand-new additions to Nvidia’s cloud gaming library. In total, nine games are joining GeForce Now this week: the three mentioned above, the first two games in the Styx franchise (available for free on the Epic Games Store until Thursday), plus Guild Wars: Reforged and Tavern Keeper.
The main attraction, Quarantine Zone: The Last Check, is the newest release from acclaimed indie publisher Devolver Digital, known for titles like Possessor(s), Skate Story, The Talos Principle: Reawakened, and Cult of the Lamb, among others. In the game, you play as a checkpoint officer tasked with inspecting people entering a quarantine zone, effectively serving as the final line of defense for those living inside. If you accidentally allow someone infected to pass through, you might unleash an epidemic on a society that’s already collapsing.
Here is the full list of games joining GeForce Now this week: Quarantine Zone: The Last Check (new release on Steam, January 12, GeForce RTX 5080 compatible), Star Wars Outlaws (Ubisoft Connect, available via Xbox Game Pass), The Legend of Heroes: Trails Beyond the Horizon (new release on Steam, January 15), Styx: Shards of Darkness (new release on the Epic Games Store, free for one week starting January 15), Styx: Master of Shadows (new release on the Epic Games Store, free for one week starting January 15), Guild Wars: Reforged (Steam), Mon Bazou (Steam), Tavern Keeper (Steam), and Waterpark Simulator (Steam).
There is still no information on whether major January releases – such as Code Vein II – will be added to the service. However, there is still time before those releases arrive later in the month, so hopefully they will show up either toward the end of January or at some point later this year.
