Since the final installment of the Final Fantasy VII Remake trilogy does not yet have a name, we are curious to see what Square Enix will call it.
Although one of the most iconic scenes from Final Fantasy VII has already appeared in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, there are still many beautiful moments yet to be created in the third remake. One such moment occurs towards the end of the original game and was highly anticipated by the series director, who believes the team did it full justice. Earlier this month, Vinesauce attended an informal gathering with Naoki Hamaguchi in New York, following the promotional event for the Nintendo Switch 2 and Xbox Series Final Fantasy VII Remake Integrade. Unsurprisingly, the third part of the remake trilogy was briefly mentioned when Hamaguchi revealed which part of the story he was most looking forward to seeing remade.
He said it was the moment when Cloud finds himself with Tifa’s help. This is one of the most intense and moving parts of the game’s story. Although he didn’t reveal much about how the scene will be recreated in the third part of the Final Fantasy VII remake, Hamaguchi said they got it right. This will surely excite fans as the trilogy comes to a close.
Given the emotional impact of this moment, the current generation of graphics, and the excellent voice acting by Cody Christian and Britt Bratton as Cloud and Tifa in the first two parts, it will be interesting to see how the scene changes. In Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, Tifa briefly enters the Lifestream, which does not happen in the original. Additionally, Cloud is partially aware of his past and the truth behind the Nibelheim incident.
Now that the title of Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 3 has been decided, it’s no surprise that the development team is discussing the trilogy’s conclusion more and more. Although the game may appear slightly outdated due to its use of Unreal Engine 4, the developer’s enthusiasm and commitment to providing an open-world map accessible via the Highwind airship bodes extremely well for one of the best JRPG remakes ever released.
