Lords of the Fallen II: Grand Theft Auto VI Claims Another Victim!

It is almost obvious why Hexworks and CI Games decided to push back the release window for their Souls-like game.

Lords of the Fallen II had previously been planned for release sometime this fall, but it has now been moved to a period that is becoming increasingly crowded. The first quarter of 2027 is already being targeted by many other games, and almost without exception, the decision to delay has been made because of Rockstar Games and Take-Two Interactive’s Grand Theft Auto VI. The long-awaited game will launch on November 19 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series, while preorders begin tomorrow, meaning its pricing will also be revealed.

“Lords of the Fallen II is now set for a Q1 2027 release. As development progresses, we have worked closely with the Gameplay Feedback Team, a dedicated group of seasoned Souls-like veterans within our Launch Creative Team. Their valuable ongoing input, combined with the team’s vision, has identified meaningful opportunities to further refine and strengthen the overall experience. These enhancements will benefit from additional integration, iteration, and polishing time, enabling the team to deliver the highest possible quality at launch.

This updated release window also positions Lords of the Fallen II strategically outside of a highly competitive holiday period, ensuring the game receives the dedicated attention it deserves. The team is energized by the strong response to our recent reveals and is focused on delivering a standout dark fantasy action RPG and a worthy successor to the Lords of the Fallen franchise. We are grateful for the continued passion, feedback, and support from our community, and we look forward to sharing more updates in the coming months” – wrote CI Games founder and CEO Marek Tyminski.

Lords of the Fallen II will therefore arrive on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC at some point during the first three months of 2027.
