Rockstar Games and Take-Two may have a reason for remaining unusually quiet about one of the gaming industry’s most anticipated titles. However, a reliable insider believes that we could see much more of the game in August.

Although Rockstar promised that the marketing campaign for Grand Theft Auto VI would intensify throughout the summer, August is approaching and both the developer and publisher Take-Two continue to keep one of the most anticipated games under strict secrecy ahead of its November 19 release on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series. Some may interpret the silence as a sign of bad news, but there appears to be no cause for concern. Well-known insider Nate The Hate has suggested that we will see a substantial amount of the game next month.

The highly reliable insider wrote on Twitter that he expects to see a considerable amount of Grand Theft Auto VI in August. Although this sounds more like a prediction than an actual leak, he indicated that he has sources and will share something as the launch approaches, since it is currently too early to discuss Rockstar’s plans. The silence surrounding Grand Theft Auto VI is not connected to a possible last-minute delay, which would be catastrophic for the entire industry. Virtually every publisher has constructed its release schedule around the game’s November 19 launch, placing titles in September, October, or February 2027. Nate The Hate added that Grand Theft Auto VI will arrive in November as planned.

Although little has been heard about Grand Theft Auto VI since it emerged that the game would not receive a conventional physical edition at launch and probably never will, an update to the Rockstar Support website revealed something new earlier this week. It confirmed that PlayStation 5 download codes will be region-locked, while Xbox codes will not. This will force PlayStation players living in countries not officially supported by PlayStation Network to create accounts registered in other regions. Although doing so violates the terms of service, it has not previously resulted in account suspensions.
