We already knew about the ex-Ubisoft employee Jade Raymond‘s involvement at Electronic Arts; she opened a new studio (Motive Studios) earlier this year. We also wrote about how EA themselves admit that they are lagging behind in action games. We predicted that these two pieces will click together in the puzzle, and look, what happened! It just got confirmed by Electronic Arts.
EA‘s Chief Financial Officer Blake Jorgensen talked about the situation at UBS Global Technology Conference in San Francisco. Jörgensen confirmed Jade Raymond‘s work at Motive and admitted EA‘s weakness in open world action games. However, he confirmed Raymond’s work on an Assassin’s Creed-style game, which is being developed at Motive Studios.
So, this is official now: Raymond is making her own Assassin’s Creed without Ubisoft. We can’t wait for the official announcement. If we had to guess, EA would uncover the new game at E3 2016. Let’s just hope it won’t be another annual game release, because it’d be quite annoying.
Assassin’s Creed syndicate has alot of bugs in it.
