Versus Evil had to do what they had to do and stood in front of the public. In September, Afro Samurai 2: Revenge of Kuma was released on PS4 and PC – it was meant to be the first of three episodes, but it was a huge failure. Versus Evil had to apologize publicly, and they announced two things: one, they will not make Volume 2 and 3, two, they also decided that they will refund the customers who bought either the base game or the Season Pass. Although this might take some time because Sony‘s system was never used for this kind of thing, but Versus Evil is dedicated to release the pressure put on them.

By the way, this is a somewhat jerk move to see the sequels cancelled, because who knows what Afro Samurai 2 could have received in the future. Maybe the other two Volumes would have been better, but we will never know.

You can’t even buy the game now on nor Steam, neither PlayStation Network, because both took off the option to purchase. It makes AS2 something like Ride to Hell: Retribution – it’s so sh*t that it cannot be continued!
