After the Mass Effect trilogy, Bioware isn’t leaving the franchise behind: Mass Effect Andromeda was announced during this year’s E3 conference. The game is currently in development for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC in Bioware‘s studios in Montreal, Edmonton and Austin. The director will be different than the one who worked on Andromeda until now: Chris Wynn, who was the director of this game, decided to quit Bioware and return to the United States from Canada, as he was working in Montreal.
Previously, Wynn was a director at both Microsoft and Epic Games – you might have seen his name in several Gears of War games. Bioware‘s statement tries to calm down the fans: the devs still develop the game without stopping, and the release date isn’t going to be hindered by Wynn’s departure.
Electronic Arts plans to release Andromeda in the 2016 holiday season on PS4/X1/PC. How will the Mass Effect universe fare without Shepard? We’ll see in less than a year.
I think this game will never the same without Shepard…
