While Sony hasn’t announced their stronger PlayStation 4 yet (and they likely won’t until their E3 keynote), we weren’t sure if Microsoft would follow their rivals or not. However, rumors from multiple sources say that the Redmond crew prepares new Xbox Ones!
Ones! Two consoles are rumored to be in development. One of them is possibly getting an E3 reveal. It’d be a slim, 40% smaller, 4K video play supporting, 2TB HDD model, which would also have a redesigned controller. That sounds decent; Sony might also have a PS4 Slim in the works. What about the other console?
The „Scorpion” codenamed model would be four times stronger than the Xbox One. The X1 has the capability of 1.32 million teraflops (flops = floating-point operations per second) while the Scorpion would have 6 million. In comparison, the PS4 has 1.84 million. The slim console is rumored to launch by the end of 2016; the stronger model would follow in 2017 with the chance of supportinig the Oculus Rift
Streamboxes are also likely to see announcements at E3. Microsoft would have similar items to Amazon’s Fire Stick or Google’s Chromecast. We’ll see at the E3!
