The Polish company’s two co-founders have given two interviews to two publications.
Michał Kiciński talked to Polish Gazeta, and he said that despite The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt was a big commercial success (you can read our review of the game here), there’s still room for improvement, and make Cyberpunk 2077 become an even bigger project than Geralt ever was. (However, he doesn’t know when the game will launch, though!)
Marcin Iwiński told Glixel why CD Projekt RED is called as such. Initially, they just gray imported games from the United States (on CDs!), before forming a company in an official format.
About VR, he said the following: „We are observing with interest. We are telling stories. If VR can help us, we’ll definitely consider it. But right now, I’m personally looking for something really substantial as an experience. Why did I pre-order the Switch? Not because I want the Switch. Because I want Zelda. (No wonder, that he wants it, read our review of Zelda here!). And also, I’m probably not a very good case, because I get nausea very fast.”
We say that good work needs time (Cyberpunk 2077), and some technology takes a bit of time to work properly (VR) …
