Blizzard is unstoppable.
The developers announced in January that Overwatch had reached twenty-five million players – that means in three months (from October 2016, 20 million players), they jumped five million. The trend continues, and there seems to be no stop for the train just yet: Overwatch celebrates over thirty million players by now. Overwatch didn’t even launch a year ago in retail yet, mind you…
Activision (or Activision Blizzard, to be exact…) will publish its latest financial report next week, where we will see how much Overwatch has pushed the company forward. They already stated that Infinite Warfare, last year’s Call of Duty, was a disappointment, but this team-based FPS, along with World of Warcraft, had to have a lot of money raked in recently.
Congratulations – we predict reaching 35 million players by August. Boosting your player base by 33% in half a year is a massive result, especially if that percentage means ten million (!) players.

More than 30 million players have charged into Overwatch!
Thanks for grouping up with us, heroes. We couldn’t ask for a better team. ? pic.twitter.com/j2lRsUtpnd
