Hunt: Showdown Has Kept One Of The Important Aspects Of Crytek [VIDEO]

Crytek kept its word and showed the recently renamed game at E3 in detail.

PvPvE. No, we didn’t write something incomprehensible there – that term is the formula of Hunt: Showdown. Five teams, each with two hunters, and a ton of monsters on the map. Your goal is to kill and banish these monsters. However, when you banish one, the other four teams will be informed about your location on the map (a la the Dark Zone in The Division), and if you die, it’s a permadeath, meaning you can bid adieu to your gear. To make your situation somewhat fair, a Bloodline system will be implemented as well to keep your experience and start a new hunter at a higher level in case your previous one bites the bullet.

There is no release date yet, but there’s a promise for a beta. Hunt: Showdown is in development for PC, and it’s likely coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, too. And what did the game keep regarding Crytek? The visuals. Look how beautiful it looks, thanks to CryEngine!
