This Spider-Man will not be a killer.
Bill Rosemann (Marvel Games Executive Creative Director), Bryan Intihar (Insomniac Games Creative Director), and Ryan Penagos ((Marvel Digital Media Creative Executive) got on Periscope to talk about the PlayStation 4-exclusive. Rosemann, who recently looked at the script, applauded Spider-Man for its improvement since the E3.
For example, the traversing between the buildings in New York City feels faster than six months ago, and if you ended up on a building, you wouldn’t splat onto the wall. Instead, you’ll start running up to keep the continuous momentum going (which was one of the aims of Insomniac Games). They also wanted to make sure that Spider-Man does not kill anybody, so if you end up throwing someone off the roof of a building, that enemy will end up in a web to be safe.
The video gives us a look behind the scenes. We learned that Dan Slott and Christos Gage, two veteran writers, have joined the team to make the best possible story for the game. There’s also some clips of gameplay recorded on a PlayStation 4 Pro, as well as concept artworks.
Spider-Man will launch next year, exclusively on PlayStation 4.
